A native Wisconsinite and proud owner of a public education, I took my first political actions during the budget protests and continued that work on a little-known gubernatorial recall. Did extensive work in state legislatures across the country – Wisconsin, Colorado, Virginia, Arkansas – before landing in political communications.
Dishwasher at a rural country club at age 13. Disregard for laws, child-labor-related and otherwise, was widespread.
I wouldn’t be where I am today without the Wisconsin recalls – especially the feeling of turning in a million signatures and being part of the best staff & volunteer team in the state.

The women who paved the way, fought the fight, and continue to break barriers in the home, workplace, and politics. And, of course, my mother, who is the person I want to be when I grow up.
Proud owner of a long and storied relationship with the Humane Society: my first volunteer stint five years ago ended with the adoption of two semi-handicapped kitties. More recent rescue attempts include sneaking a Great Dane past my partner and into the household. All have been ultimately unsuccessful
The first Wednesday after the first Monday of November.
Going on walks. Reading. Needlepoint. Making the cats chase their mouse-shaped laser around. I fully intend to have these same interests for the next 75 years.

A proud Badger, I wear my Wisconsin red & white whenever the occasion calls for it, and oftentimes when it doesn’t.
