Cassandra Hoch

Account Executive

  • Background

A native Wisconsinite and proud owner of a public education, I took my first political actions during the budget protests and continued that work on a little-known gubernatorial recall. Did extensive work in state legislatures across the country – Wisconsin, Colorado, Virginia, Arkansas – before landing in political communications.

  • First Job

Dishwasher at a rural country club at age 13. Disregard for laws, child-labor-related and otherwise, was widespread.

  • Career Highlights

I wouldn’t be where I am today without the Wisconsin recalls – especially the feeling of turning in a million signatures and being part of the best staff & volunteer team in the state.

  • Guiding Principles

Leave the world better than you found it… and always be the best-dressed in the room.

  • Inspiration

The women who paved the way, fought the fight, and continue to break barriers in the home, workplace, and politics. And, of course, my mother, who is the person I want to be when I grow up.

  • Giving Back

Proud owner of a long and storied relationship with the Humane Society: my first volunteer stint five years ago ended with the adoption of two semi-handicapped kitties. More recent rescue attempts include sneaking a Great Dane past my partner and into the household. All have been ultimately unsuccessful

  • Perfect Day

The first Wednesday after the first Monday of November.

  • Outside Interests

Going on walks. Reading. Needlepoint. Making the cats chase their mouse-shaped laser around. I fully intend to have these same interests for the next 75 years.

  • Favorite Sport/Sports Team

A proud Badger, I wear my Wisconsin red & white whenever the occasion calls for it, and oftentimes when it doesn’t.

  • Indulgence

Travel – it’s such a beautiful big world out there. Currently accepting sponsors for the next adventure, which is as of yet unplanned but will certainly involve a mountain or two.
